CHINA INTERNATIONAL INK PAINTING EXHIBITION

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Italy, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the China Artists Association, the China Cultural Promotion Society, and the Embassy of China in Italy are proudly hosting the “China International Ink Painting Exhibition” in Italy, the birthplace of the Renaissance. As a significant representative of traditional Chinese art, ink painting, with its unique aesthetic system and profound cultural heritage, occupies an indispensable position in the global art landscape.

This exhibition not only showcases the timeless charm of ink painting, cultivated over millennia, but also highlights its contemporary innovations and expressions through the lens of modern times. The creative techniques and thematic narratives of the works vividly demonstrate the diverse evolution and cultural confidence of ink painting in the new era, capturing the latest developments of Chinese society and the humanistic spirit of our time.

As a crucial milestone in the journey of Chinese ink painting onto the international stage, the exhibition uses the unique language of this Eastern art form to engage in an equal and profound dialogue with global art. By transcending the boundaries between tradition and modernity and blending Eastern and Western artistic contexts, Chinese ink painting showcases its powerful influence within contemporary art movements, further solidifying its core status in the global art system.

This grand exhibition is not only a tribute to the historical achievements of Chinese ink painting but also a forward-looking exploration of its boundless future possibilities. Serving as a bridge of art, the exhibition aims to open new windows for the world to understand Chinese art and provide a broader platform for Chinese artists to integrate into the international art arena.
